catch the moment 365: week five

You're not even going to believe it, but the sickness continued into this 5th week of 2014.  The flu hit my family hard and we spent much of this time recovering before the next big snowstorm hit the midwest. So once again, we've got tons more pictures from inside. We did manage to get out on Saturday to one of the boys' favorite places - the Lego store!

Linking up today with Mindi, Sarah, and Stephanie for Catch the Moment 365. It's not to late to join in!

29/365: January 29th.  A rare treat for Dexter - a bathtub all to himself. Normally the boys bathe together because they prefer it, but Dexter enjoyed the extra space on this night while Theo was resting on the couch.

30/365: January 30th.  Theo playing at the kitchen table with Legos. Nothing new here!

31/365: January 31st.  Dexter surrounded himself with all these toys then exclaimed "Look, Mommy! I builded a cave!"  Pretty cute.  He was feeling a lot better by now.

32/365: February 1st.  We finally forced ourselves to get out of the house and went to lunch and then the Lego store. It was a struggle as we were all still tired from being so sick, but I was convinced that some fresh air would do all of us some good.

33/365: February 2nd. The Lego Table that sits in our living room.  Ryan's parents bought it from some friends of theirs who had it built for grandkids that since outgrew it.  My boys sure spend a lot of time here and I love that the table and chairs are unique!

34/365: February 3rd.  Theo playing with Legos..at the Lego table. See a theme in my life? Sidenote: I just love his little face.

35/365: February 4th.  I stepped outside to take a quick picture of the new fallen snow and when I turned around to come back inside, this is what I saw. I thought this image was worth much more than just another picture of snow. Love him!

So there you have it. We are feeling better (finally! knock on wood!) and over all this crap weather.  Ready for spring and playing outside and flip flops and suntans and days on the lake.  I'm envisioning myself walking outside to the sun on my skin to get through these disgustingly cold and dreary winter days.  I know it will be here before I know it, but it kind of feels like this winter will never end!

So, what's your favorite picture this week? I kind of love that close up of Batman in the bath (day 29) right before Dexter grabbed him, but I also love Dexter's face smashed up against the door on day 35!  I'm excited that while I have felt like crap physically and uninspired mentally, every picture so far this year has been taken with my DSLR. Hoping February is a better month for us.

xoxo,
~C~
